Latens has a strong management team, which has a wealth of experience, including running broadcast operations as well as supplying and implementing CA systems. Below are the biographies of Latens key personnel.

Jeremy Thorp, CEO
Jeremy Thorp, CEO
Jeremy has served in a number of high-level positions in the broadcast industry on both sides of the technology divide - operator and technology vendor. At NTL, Jeremy was Group Managing Director, responsible for design and roll out of interactive cable systems, internet content and other services. He previously served as Director of Strategy during NTL group's early planning for the launch of its digital services. Before founding Latens in 2002, Jeremy was Chief Technology Officer at TANDBERG Television, a world leading digital broadcast equipment vendor. Having gained a degree in engineering from London University, Jeremy joined Bain & Co, the leading firm of management consultants.
Jason Rogers, CTO

Jason has been a broadcast technology pioneer from the very start of his career. After graduating from Staffordshire University with an honours degree in Computing Sciences he joined ICL, where he was responsible for developing the technology behind ICL's mid-90s Cambridge trials of interactive TV and VOD. In 1998 Jason joined NTL, where he launched the UK's first interactive TV service and grew its ISP to over half a million customers. Prior to founding Latens in 2002, Jason was head of architecture at TANDBERG Television, the world's leading vendor of digital broadcast solutions.

Before joining Latens in 2003, Andy served as Vice President, Global Sales and Marketing at the world's largest supplier of smart card based conditional access systems. During this period, Andy developed high-level relationships with digital TV and broadband operators on a global basis and experienced all the pros and cons of traditional conditional access techniques. Andy was awarded a BA Honours degree from the University of York in 1974 and has spent his career successfully marketing high technology solutions and managing partnerships between the world's leading hardware, software and IT services suppliers.

After obtaining an Honours degree in Mathematics and an MSc in Computer Science, Anne spent 7 years at BT, leading the development of Network Management Solutions for both BT and Concert (BT/MCI joint venture) prior to joining Nortel in 1996. At Nortel, Anne directed the Pan-Global team responsible for development of embedded management and datacommunications software, which received the Queen's Award for Innovation. She also achieved an MSc with Distinction in Corporate Leadership (Napier University Edinburgh and Goizueta Business School, Emory University, Atlanta, GA). Anne joined Latens in 2003 to set up Latens' Belfast HQ. She has subsequently built a world-class development team which delivers and continues to develop Latens' award-winning, pioneering technology.
Dean Kashlan, GM & VP Americas

Dean Kashlan has over 20 years of experience in the communications industry. Based in Atlanta, GA, he is part of the management team at Latens Systems and responsible for operations in the Americas. Prior to joining Latens, Dean held key positions with major telecommunications industry suppliers including Cisco, Lucent and Entone Technologies, where he was a member of the management team and leader of the company's sales and partnership efforts in the Americas and EMEA. Dean holds an MBA from the Stetson School of Business and Economics at Mercer University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a minor in Computer Engineering.
Alex Borland, Head of Technical Services
Alex Borland, Head of Technical Services
Alex is a member of Latens' senior management team with global responsibility for the company's systems engineering, product management, technical and professional services that support the sales and delivery to customers worldwide. Alex joined Latens from the Conditional Access vendor Nagra Kudelski, where he was the General Manager for UK and Ireland. Prior to Nagravision, Alex built up considerable experience in the Pay-TV technology business through senior business development roles at TANDBERG Television, and working for a number of cable and satellite operators, most recently UPC. Before entering the broadcast industry, Alex was a communications engineering officer with the Royal Navy and in the private marine sector.
